Studying Culture

BubbleShare: Share photos - Powered by BubbleShare

In Room 11 we have been studying culture. We first looked at what we thought culture was. We used a define map to come up with a definition. We then looked at New Zealand culture. We used Koru shapes to represent ourselves and our families. We then looked at Japanese culture. We have made Origami (or Japanese paper folding). In small groups we took an aspect of culture like landmarks, clothes, music and food. We then went out to look at the similarities and differences between New Zealand and Japanese culture.

Keep up the great work Room 11. I will add your blog to Room 23's blogroll so the children can leave you comments. Thanks for all the comments you have been leaving on Room 23's blog - they love it.
